Waleed was born and raised in Egypt where he attended the Ain Shams University in Cairo, earning a BA in Arabic Language and Literature. His first teaching roles were in prep schools where he taught Arabic to young students. He then moved to a French bilingual school where he taught in primary classes. Over ten years ago, he began teaching at his first IB School, where he taught IB Arabic A and B at Diploma level, IGCSEs, and Arabic as a mother tongue in the primary school where he helped to develop PYP schemes of work. More recently he has moved to another IB World School where he continues to teach Arabic at all levels of the school. Throughout his teaching career he has done extensive professional development on Inquiry- including inquiry for language teachers, working with students with Hyper-activity and Dyslexia, Collaborative Planning, and several UK Child Safeguarding courses.
