Mi- Sook was born and raised in Seoul in South Korea. She attended GwangJu University to earn a BA in Literature and Creative writing, and later to Dong Guk Unversity to complete her MA in Literature and Creative Writing. She has pursued an interest in travel, moving first to India for two years, and then to Singapore, where for the past 14 years. She has worked in three IB World Schools including International School of Singapore, St. Joseph’s Institution International, and the United World College of Southeast Asia as a teacher of Korean Language A and also supporting SSST Korean A students. She has also participated in IB workshops during recent years. Extended Essays she has supervised include Comparison of Ideologies in Western and Korean Children’s Stories; Comparison of Brave New World and Korean novels dealing with the role of technology in society; Comparison of Realism and Fantasy in Metamorphosis and a Korean Novel and Relationship between the Individual and Society in Western and Korean Literature.
Mi Sook is also an an Assistant Workshop Leader in Language and Literature.
