Ewa grew up in Poland and has a strong academic having earned a Master’s Degree Russian Philology with Lemko-Rusyn (with specialization in teaching), followed by a Master’s Deree in Polish Philology (with specialization in teaching), and then a PhD in Fine Arts, all from the Pedagogical University of Krakow. She the did a Master’s Degree in Polish for Foreigners at Jagiellonian University, also in Poland. During this time she also did a course on Russian Business Vocabulary at the Centre of Russian Culture and Language “Ruskij Mir” in Cracow, earning a Certificate of Russian business vocabulary. Part of her university studies took place in Russia where she studied on an exchange programme at the Moscow University of Humanities
In Poland she was active as a teacher of Russian and Polish and lecturer at the Pedagogical University of Krakow and other academic institutions and participated and spoke at a number of international seminars and scientific conferences organized in Poland and abroad about theory and history of Polish theatre and the culture of Eastern Europe. She has also worked as teacher, including teaching Polish at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as a translator (English to Russian).
Ewa has worked in the area of publishing and film focusing on Polish theatre, film and culture, and also on contemporary Russian theatre and has organized other educational projects and exchanges including some sponsored by the EU, She has recently started teaching IBMYP and DP Polish in an IB World School in London, and we are delighted that she is available to work with our Polish and Russian students.
