Alejandro is from Huelva in Andalusia in Spain. He earned a BA in Elementary Education and Physical
Education, doing part of his teacher practice in Perugia, Italy. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Development Education and Peace Studies and Social Awareness at the Pablo Olavide University of Sevilla. In addition he done much additional professional development training in Development of pro-activity civil societal attitudes (in Armenia), Dance as a Tool for Healthy Life (in Georgia), Working with youngsters of diverse cultures and backgrounds to promote tolerance (Lithuania) and sport as a means of addressing violence, racism and discrimination, and other transformative education areas.
His teaching career – both in schools and with NGOs – has taken Alejandro on an international journey to Italy, Nicaragua, Austria, Vietnam, Turkey, The Bahamas and he has now just relocated to Romania. He has taught all ages from primary (teaching across all subjects) to middle and high school. In addition to Spanish, he has also taught English and drama. He is also a certified football coach, He has taught Spanish in IB World Schools in Turkey, The Bahamas and now Romania, in IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP. Alejandro is multilingual and in addition to his native Spanish, English, French and some German. He is currently an IB Spanish teacher at in Bucharest.
